Terry Roth Internship Program
The Terry Roth Internship was established in honor of our longtime friend and collaborator with the goal of making internships accessible to all candidates by compensating recipients. This is an excellent opportunity to obtain hands-on experience in an artist foundation.
Summer 2011 (May/June–August/September)
Minimum commitment: 16–20 hours per week, 10 weeks
Two paid internship positions are available in each of the following two departments: Archives and External Affairs. Please note: as the requirements for each department differ, applicants must specify the department for which they would like to be considered. Applicants may only apply to one of the two departments.
Archival Internship
The archival internship is open to undergraduates who have completed at least two years of study, recent graduates, and graduate students of art history or related disciplines. Interns focus on projects involving the Foundation’s collection of publication and exhibitions materials as well as preserving and digitizing photographs and archival documents. Applicants must possess strong visual and research skills and be mature and detail-oriented. Prior archival experience and experience with Filemaker, Photoshop, and scanning equipment is preferred. Proficiency in French, or another romance language, is beneficial.
External Affairs Internship
The external affairs internship is open to candidates who have completed a BA and speak French fluently (additional foreign languages a plus). Interns will perform duties relating to communications, events, and other projects, specifically including reformatting contact databases and organizing a digital press archive. Other tasks may include translation, preparation of content for web use, and other administrative duties. The external affairs internship is ideal for candidates seeking work experience in nonprofit arts communications and public relations.
